CASE NO. 5:25-cv-00249-FL:

COMPLAINT FOR DAMAGES AND DECLARATORY RELIEF UNDER 42 U.S.C. §§ 1983, 1985, 1986, ADA and VAWA

UPDATE: 7/22/2025

Edie BasistaI’ll be exercising my First Amendment rights more than ever in the coming weeks and months.
If anyone’s got a problem with it, I suggest they polish up on the Constitution—fast.
The Constitutional Rights School of Edie Basista is officially in session.
I expect everyone to act accordingly and respect my constitutional rights—
including losing NC House candidates and NC State Senators who should know better.
You can’t hide from the public forever.
I won’t back down—because standing up for what’s right is never optional.
And for those looking for the facts?
Just check the record:
Basista, et al. v. Batch, et al., Case No. 5:25-CV-00249-FL.
No secrets. It’s all public. And it’s God’s honest truth.
Elections don’t take weeks to fall apart—they can be lost or destroyed in days.
Sometimes, truth comes out on the first day of early voting… sometimes on Election Day itself…
or both.
My advice? Don’t let people you hate live rent-free in your mind. You will lose.
See y’all at the courthouse—7/25 and 7/29. 🇺🇸
